90th birthday
Lawrence Brett celebrated his 90th birthday with a celebration at the Wilson Woman's Club.
Brett was born Sept. 5, 1919, in Wilson.
He graduated from Coon High School, Duke University and Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University. He worked for Hospital Corporation of America as a hospital administrator and international consultant. He's married to Barbara Brett, and they have five children, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Brett has been involved with the Kiwanis Club, Arts Council of Wilson, Imagination Station, First United Methodist Church and with historic properties.
