Everette-Ruffin Kathy Diane Ruffin of Wilson is the daughter of Joyce Ann Ruffin of Wilson and the late Dennis Ray Joyner and the stepdaughter of the late Eric Maurice “Skip” Alston. Her engagement to Isaac Ja-varas Everette of Wilson, son of Gloria Everette Jackson of Wilson, is announced by her mother. The bride is the granddaughter of the late Retha Mae Ruffin, the late James McCoy, and the late Lula Mae Joyner. Her step-grandmother is Lillian Weaver of Wilson. The bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mary Frances Eatmon. An October wedding is planned.
