Andrews-Hussey
Neal Wiltshire Hussey and John Rushman Bunting Andrews, Jr. were married Oct. 17 at 5 p.m. at Holy Trinity Church in Raleigh. The Rev. David Taylor Drake officiated. A reception hosted by the bride's parents followed at Tatton Hall, home of Mr. and Mrs. Alton Battle Smith, Jr.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Rhodes Hyde, Jr. and Mr. Hugh Moseley Hussey III of Wilson. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. William Cabell Moore of Richmond, Va., and the late Mr. Moore and Mrs. Hugh Moseley Hussey Jr., of Wilson and the late Mr. Hussey.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Rushman Bunting Andrews of Raleigh. He is the grandson of Mrs. Willis Smith, Jr. of Raleigh and the late Mr. Smith, and Mrs. Mary Wells Andrews of Bethel and the late Thomas Rushman Andrews.
The bride was escorted by her father.
Eleanor Lane Hussey of New York City, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor.
Anne Holland Wallwork of Raleigh was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Mary Burns Ackerly of Richmond; Elizabeth Massey Busch of Sun Valley, Idaho; Marguerite Charlotte Camp of Washington D.C.; Cynthia Tayloe Moore of Richmond; and Katherine Busch Weston of Atlanta.
Mr. Andrews served as his son's best man.
Groomsmen were Willis Smith Andrews, brother of the groom, of Raleigh, Robert William Banta III of Richmond, Samuel Lee Holder III of Raleigh, John Banister Hyde of New Bern, James Lawrence Stephenson of Raleigh and John Mark Thompson of Winston-Salem.
The crucifer was Ellis Edward Minton, and the acolytes were Elizabeth Barkley Minton and William Wesley Minton IV, all of Raleigh.
Readers were Joyce Faye McFarland and Virginia Ellis Minton of Raleigh.
Greeters were Janie deShields Whitaker, Sarah Tavenner Whitaker, Charles Newton Whitaker, Jr., and Isabel Tyler Whitaker of Richmond.
A rehearsal dinner was held at the home of the parents of the groom on the eve of the wedding. Earlier that day, a bridesmaids' luncheon was hosted by Susu Lilly, Susan Barnes, Lucile Ackerly, Carol Newcomb and Sue Holland, at the home of Mrs. Lilly.
The bride is a graduate of Meredith College with a bachelor's degree in business management. She was presented by the Terpsichorean Club of Raleigh at the 1998 North Carolina Debutante Ball. She is currently enrolled in nursing school at Wilson Community College.
The groom is a graduate of The McCallie School. He received a bachelor of arts degree in political science from Elon University and is employed in commercial real estate.
Following a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple will reside in Bethel.
