Escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless gown with a semi-cathedral train of white satin with an overlay of illusion accented with lace, beads and sequins.

For her headpiece she chose a fingertip-length veil of illusion embellished with beads and sequins bordered with lace.

She carried a bouquet of red roses and baby's breath.

The bride's sister, Jennifer Sprouse of Johnson City, was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Norah Sloan of Lexington, Ky., Melissa Hughes of Raleigh, and the groom's sister, Helen Kirby of Wilson.

The attendants wore watermelon pink, strapless, tea-length gowns belted at the waist.

Ray Brinkley, brother of the groom, served as best man.

Groomsmen were the groom's cousin, Clint Evans of Wilson, Joseph Shimel of Laurel Springs, and the groom's brother-in-law, Ryan Kirby of Wilson.

Holly Evans and Ashley Watson served as both register and program attendants.

Following the ceremony, a reception hosted by the bride's parents was held at St. Michael's Archangel Gallery in Cary. On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was given by the parents of the groom at Casa Carbone in Raleigh.

Upon their return from a wedding cruise in the Western Carribbean, Key West, Grand Cayman, and Jamaica, the couple will reside in Raleigh.
