Ashley Morgan Stone of Sims and Gary Willis Brown Jr. of Morehead City were united in marriage at Buckhorn United Methodist Church in Kenly Oct. 24. The Rev. Mike Register officiated at the 3 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Jack and Stephanie Stone of Sims. She is the granddaughter of Sherry Morgan and the late Rod Morgan of Sims, and the late James and Thelma Stone of Middlesex. She graduated from Hunt High School and is attending Barton College where she's pursuing a bachelor of science degree in Business Management. She is employed by the documentation department of Hospira, Inc. in Clayton.

The bridegroom is the son of Gary Brown Sr. of Morehead City and Barbara Brown of Beaufort. He is the grandson of the late William and Mildred Jones of New Bern, and the late Carl and Athleen Brown of Pollocksville. He graduated from West Carteret High School and East Carolina University with a bachelor's degree in economics. He is employed by Hospira, Inc. in Clayton.

The bride was escorted by her father.

Amber Stone, the brides sister served as her maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Whitney Morgan, McKensie Morgan and Melissa Hinnant, all of Sims.

Rachael Martin of Sims was flower girl.

The groom's father served as his best man.

Groomsmen were Ashley Graham Brown of Smithfield, brother of the groom; Barry Coursey of Georgia; and Chris Adams of Manteo.

John Ferrell of Wilson and Doug Hall of Houston were ushers.

The candle lighter was Lane Hinnant.

Ring bearer was Elijah Robbins of Wilson.

Following the ceremony, a reception was hosted by the bride's parents at the Wilson Country Club.

On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was given by the groom's parents at the Wilson Country Club.

Following a wedding cruise to the Southern Caribbean, the couple will reside in Smithfield.
