Weddings
Cooper-McIver Sybil Denise McIver and Toby Lee Cooper, both of Wilson, exchanged wedding vows May 2 at St. John A.M.E. Zion Church. The Rev. Michael S. Bell officiated at the 6 p.m. ceremony. The bridegroom serenaded his bride with the song "Marry Me" during the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Harold Eugene Bullock and Bettie Lou Bullock of Wilson. She is the granddaughter of the late Doll and Lula Speight, and the late Rule and Louise Bulluck. The bridegroom is the son of Rose Mildred Cooper Harvey of Bailey. He is the grandson of the late Eldress Katie Horne, William Henry Horne, and Rufus Edmundson of Wilson. The bride is a certified nursing assistant and the groom is a cabinet builder. The Coopers honeymooned at a resort in South Carolina and enjoyed the activities of Myrtle Beach.
