Fazzio-Whitley
WILMINGTON -- Heather Michelle Whitley and Mark Phillip Fazzio, both of Wilson, exchanged wedding vows May 10 at Hugh MacRae Park. The Rev. Doug Radford officiated at the 4 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Jackie and Wendy Whitley of Wilson. She is the granddaughter of Janis Whitley and the late Dorman Whitley of Kenly and Thomas and Ruby Webb of Elm City. She graduated from Hunt High School and is currently pursing a degree in elementary education from East Carolina University. She is a teacher's assistant at Spring Hope Elementary.
The bridegroom is the son of John and Kathleen Fazzio of Syracuse, N.Y. He is the grandson of the late John and Beatrice Fazzio, and the late Edmund and Winifred Barry, all of Albany, N.Y. He graduated from East Syracuse-Minoa and received a degree in mechanical engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology. He is a senior mechanical engineer at Kidde Aerospace.
The bride was escorted by her father.
Maid of honor was Alesha Lamm.
Bridesmaids were Ashley Ford; Sheila Pitt, sister of the bridegroom; and Kristin Faircloth.
Flower girl was Shannon Pitt, niece of the bridegroom.
Best man for the ceremony was Tom Fazzio, brother of the bridegroom.
Groomsmen were Ricky Vanhoute, James Williams, and Justin Whitley, brother of the bride.
Ring bearer was Ryan Pitt, the bridegroom's nephew.
Cherubs were Brooke Brantley and Tyson Foster. Zachary Guess served as cherub escort.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Courtyard Carolina Beach. Hosts were the bride's parents.
On the eve of the wedding, the bridegroom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Bluewater Grill in Wilmington.
Earlier in the day, a bridesmaids' luncheon was held at Elijah's in Wilmington. Hosts were Teri Raynor, Lori Ellis, and Linda Faircloth.
Since their return from a honeymoon in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, they are living in Wilson.
