FUQUAY VARINA --Luann Tang of Wilson and Pong Seepolmuang of Durham exchanged marriage vows Aug. 3 at Highgrove Estate of Laurel Lake. The garden ceremony was officiated by Pong's brother-in-law, Dr. Mihir Patel.
The bride is the daughter of Nam and Trinh Tran, owners of Modern Nails on Raleigh Road in Wilson. She graduated from Fike High School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelor's degree in computer science and is in her last year of earning her doctorate of pharmacy degree at the University of Maryland at Baltimore.
The groom is the son of Rewat and Panida Seepolmuang of Chapel Hill. He graduated from Pine Forest High School in Fayetteville and North Carolina State University with a bachelor's degree in business management. He is director of operations at Designer Athletics.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore an off-white, modified A-line strapless gown designed with a long train and scalloped beadwork on the hem.
The bride wore a necklace that was a gift from her parents.
She carried a bouquet of white hydrangeas with green cymbidium orchids.
Susan Tang, sister of the bride, was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were cousin of the bride Michelle Bach of San Francisco, Holly Dang of Charlotte, and Lisa Khosla of Washington, D.C.
The attendants wore canary yellow, halter-style, knee-length dresses.
Jasmine Glenn was flower girl.
Cousin of the groom Apichat Klychang of Bangkok, Thailand, was best man.
Groomsmen were Andrew Cho and Jinsoo Kim of Charlotte and Wally Lam of Raleigh.
Michael Tran of Wilson, the bride's brother, was usher.
Ring bearer was Anthony Trantas.
Wedding music was provided by DJ Patrick Cooke.
Honorary attendants were out-of-town family members attending from New York, California, Texas and Thailand.
The groom's parents hosted the Thai Buddhist Monk blessing ceremony and luncheon Aug. 22 at Thai Palace in Chapel Hill.
The bride's parents hosted the Chinese traditional tea ceremony and luncheon Aug. 23 at their home in Wilson.
The groom's parents hosted the traditional Thai water ceremony and blessing at the Highgrove Estate immediately hollowed by a garden ceremony and tented reception.
A rehearsal lunch was at Carolina Barbeque in Raleigh by the bride and groom.
Since their return from Aruba, they are residing in Durham.
