Webb-Snead
ROCKY MOUNT -- Susan Paige Snead of Rocky Mount and Kevin Wayne Webb of Wilson exchanged wedding vows Saturday at Arlington Baptist Church. Bill Tomlinson and Bobby White officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Paul and Janet Snead of Raleigh. She is the granddaughter of Floyd and Dorothy Snead and Emory Rawlins and the late Mary Rawlins, all of Rocky Mount. She graduated from Millbrook High School in Raleigh and received a bachelor's degree in early childhood education from East Carolina University. She is a teacher for Nash-Rocky Mount Schools.
The bridegroom is the son of Wayne and Vicki Webb of Elm City. He is the grandson of Earl and Lucy Flowers of Elm City and Doris Webb and the late Lloyd Webb of Pinetops. He graduated from Beddingfield High School and received a degree in mechanical engineering, drafting, and design from Wilson Technical Community College. He is employed by Wilson Woods Town Homes as a residential maintenance man.
Escorted by her father, the bride chose for her wedding a white satin gown accented with beaded lace. The dress featured a cathedral train with cut-out lace appliques.
The bride wore her mother's wedding veil and carried a bouquet of purple roses.
Matron of honor was Jessica Snead, sister-in-law of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Amanda Webb, sister of the bridegroom; Lisa Popolizio; and Danielle Neulist. They wore Victorian lilac gowns.
Flower girls were Leah and Peyton Carr. They wore white dresses with Victorian lilac sashes.
The bridegroom's father served as best man.
Groomsmen were Jason Snead, brother of the bride; Scott Webb; and Tony Azripe.
Katie Bradford was register attendant.
Program attendant was Amber Jones.
Stacie Carr, cousin of the bride, directed the ceremony.
Music for the ceremony was provided by organist Denise Price.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Northgreen Country Club in Rocky Mount. Hosts were the bride's parents. The reception coordinator was Phyllis Glover, friend of the bride. The wedding cake attendants were Lois Eason, Carol Webb, Linda F. Webb, and Linda Webb, aunts of the bridegroom.
On the eve of the wedding, the bridegroom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Wilbank's Christian Church.
Earlier in the day, a bridesmaids' luncheon was held at "Fenner on the Falls" in Rocky Mount. Dorothy Snead, the bride's grandmother, hosted the event.
Following their return from a honeymoon in Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple will reside in Wilson.
