Hospital staff makes experience a happy one

"Going under the knife." "Surgery."

Scary words for anyone, especially for one who has never stayed in a hospital nor wasn't even born in one. But that was my situation when I arrived at Same Day Surgery at Wilson Memorial Hospital to have a tumor removed from the right side of my face.

From the smiling face of BJ at admissions, at 5:30 a.m., to the caring and gracious Nurse Jackie; to the pretty blonde with the cold hands in post-ops; to the anesthesiologist; to the nurse in the Operating Room with those warm blankets, everyone's professionalism and sincere caring transformed the perceived ordeal into a positive experience. And last, but by no means lest, Dr. Lemaire's surgical skills, genuine thoughtfulness, and bedside manner was, and is, unsurpassed.

To all the staff at Same Day Surgery, my heart felt thanks and "Ya'll got it going on!"
