Williford-Barfield

Rebecca Nicole Barfield of Lucama and Jimmy Faison Williford of Pikeville exchanged wedding vows May 17 at Wayne County Wildlife Pond in Goldsboro. The Rev. Dale Belvin officiated at the 4 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Barfield of Lucama. She graduated from Hunt High School and received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from East Carolina University. She is employed by Walter B. Jones of Greenville.

The groom is the son of Ann Mooring and Oscar Mooring of Pikeville. He graduated from Rosewood High School and is employed by Benton and Sons in Goldsboro.

Escorted by her father, the bride chose for her wedding a white strapless A-line gown adorned with a beaded bodice.

Beaded accents enhanced her elbow-length veil.

For her bouquet, the bride chose orange roses, canna lilies and other assorted flowers.

Maid of honor was Kristie Davis.

Malissa Graham and Maegan Williams were bridesmaids. They wore teal gowns featuring spaghetti straps with a hankerchief-cut hemline.

Best man was the groom’s father.

Michael Holmes, brother of the groom, D.J. Mooring, brother of the groom, and Wayne Howell were groomsmen.

Register attendant was Jessica Pittman.

Kathryn Smith was program attendant.

The wedding was directed by Amanda Lucas and Misty Gabriel.

Vocalist Jeff Lane provided music for the wedding.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Wayne County Wildlife Clubhouse. Hosts were the bride’s parents.

On the eve of the wedding, Betty Jean Williams hosted a rehearsal dinner at B.J.’s Cafe in Eureka.

They reside in Pikeville.

PRE-NUPTIAL EVENTS

• April 6: A bridal shower was held at Springhill Presbyterian Fellowship Building. Hosts were the couple’s family and friends.

• April 14: The employees of Dr. Gene Glover hosted a Pampered Chef party.

• April 28: A lingerie shower was hosted by friends of the bride.
