Toisnot Midget Field to host Little League district tourneys Wilson City Little League is hosting the Little League North Carolina District 6 ages 8-under tournament this weekend at Toisnot Midget Field. Pool play began Friday and will end Sunday. The district semifinals and finals will be played Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively. Beginning Monday, July 7, the Little League N.C. District 6 ages 10-11 tournament will be played at Toisnot Midget Field. The tournament will conclude Saturday, July 12. Wilson will open the double-elimination tournament against South Durham on July 7 at 8 p.m. Summer league registration Wilson Recreation Department is now holding registration for its ages 5-11 youth summer baseball leagues. Players can now get a head start on the upcoming spring Little League season by playing Summer League. Games and practices will start in late July. Registration is ongoing at Recreation Park Community Center from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, until July 11.
