Wilson 8-U team advances in district tourney The Wilson City Little League entry in the Little League North Carolina District 6 8-Under Tournament won all four of its games in pool play this weekend at Toisnot Midget Field. Wilson, along with Clayton No. 1, will advance to Tuesday night's district semifinals at Toisnot. Wilson, the winner of the Wilson Pool, will meet the No. 2 team from the Roxboro pool at 6 p.m. The semfinals winners will meet in Wednesday's District 6 championship at 7 p.m. at Toisnot. The winner qualifies for the state tournament in Franklin. This is the first time any Wilson City Little League team at any age level has gone unbeaten in pool play in a district tournament.
