Mudcats, Suns rained out Monday in Jacksonville JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Carolina Mudcats' series-opening game against the Jacksonville Suns was postponed by rain Monday night. The Double-A Southern League teams will make up the game as part of a doubleheader with a pair of seven-inning games Wednesday beginning at 6:05 p.m. The teams will again attempt to get the series started today at 12:05 p.m. The Mudcats made a series of transactions before the rainout. Outfielder John Raynor was recalled from Low-A Greensboro and infielder Lee Mitchell was activated from the disabled list. To make room for the two, pitcher Chris Michalak was promoted to Triple-A Albuquerque (N.M.) and outfielder Bryan Peterson was sent back to Greensboro.
