RailHawks fall in US Open Cup

CARY -- Ivan Trujillo scored twice and the Kansas City Wizards beat the second-tier Carolina RailHawks 4-2 in extra time Tuesday night in the third round of the U.S. Open Cup.

Claudio Lopez and Ryan Pore scored on penalty kicks for the Wizards, who advanced to the quarterfinals. Pore's penalty came in the 119th minute.

Santiago Fusilier and Matthew Watson scored for the RailHawks, who last year reached the semifinals in their first year of existence. They play in the USL First Division, one step below Major League Soccer.
